What's the formula for distance?

There are several formulas for distance. The one you choose to use is the one that expressed distance in terms of the information that you already have.
For example, if you already know the speed and the time you've been traveling, then the formula for the distance you've covered is
D = (speed) times (time) .

The formula for distance in physics is D = speed × time . Distance is a scalar quantity and always a positive value, measured in meters. It represents the length of the path an object travels during motion.
