If you compare Bill and Joe as far as scholarship goes, you will have to conclude that Bill is, without any question, the brightest. Are there mistakes in the previous sentence?

I'll put in corrections I think should be there as bolded. If you do not agree, don't feel pressured to do exactly what I did! :)
If you compare **Jill **and Joe **********- **as far as scholarship goes **- you will have to conclude that Jill is , without question , **the brightest.

The ones that jump out at me relate to the fact that "ill" is kind of a funny name for a person. I'm thinking they must both be misprints for "Jill" or "Bill" or "Will".

The original sentence can be improved for clarity, punctuation, and consistency of names. A clearer revised version might specify 'academic performance' and use a phrase like 'one of the brightest' to account for different opinions. Overall, revisions enhance understanding and flow.
