This is now called Flag Day. The colors of
the flag stand for different things. The
flag has 13 stripes for the First 13
colonies. The stripes are red and white in
a pattern. The flag also has 51 stars on a
blue patch in the upper left hand corner.
Each star represents a different state.
The flag is something that should be
honored as a symbol of the United States.
