In what I've read, both loss of habitat and global warming were listed as number one causes of the extinction. Loss of habitat affects the climate. I think loss of habitat would be my choice.

The biggest cause of extinction today is habitat loss, which includes the destruction of environments due to agriculture, urbanization, deforestation, and mining. These activities result in the displacement and decline of numerous species. While other factors contribute to extinction, habitat loss is the leading cause globally.
