Jupiter and Saturn share similarities as gas giants, both primarily composed of hydrogen and helium and exhibiting banded atmospheres. Their main differences lie in the composition and visibility of their rings, with Saturn's rings being bright and ice-rich, while Jupiter's are faint and dark. Additionally, Jupiter is significantly larger and has more storm activity than Saturn.
