scientific notation is always written as a number more than 0 but less than 10,( exg 4.5, 3.5, but not 12 or 84) times a 10 to the somthing power
so 45,000,000 we have to move the decimal place 7 places to the left to make the number less than 10 and more than 0 so 4.5 times 10000000 or 4.5 times 10^7 or on online program 4.5e+07

The correct answer is 4.5 x 107. A number between 1 and 10 is needed so you have to move the decimal 7 places which becomes the exponent for 10. So then you have 4.5 x 107 **

The radius of the Earth's orbit of 45,000,000 meters can be expressed in scientific notation as 4.5 × 10^7. This is achieved by moving the decimal point 7 places to the left to form a number between 1 and 10. Thus, it simplifies representing large numbers in a compact form.
