A student has \(\frac{1}{3}\) of clay, and another student has \(\frac{5}{8}\) of clay. What do you do if you have to divide it?

so basically this qestion is asking you to add 1/3 and 5/8 together and divide the result by 2 so first get the denomenator (bottom number ) the same 1/3=8/24 5/8=15/24 8/24+15/24=23/24 divide this by 2 and get 23/48 of clay
