How to factorize \(6ac - 12\).

Asked by meganlockwood

Answer (3)

6 a c − 12 = 6 ( a c − 2 )

Common is 6 so it would be 6 on the outside of the brackets. Therefore it would be ac inside with a -2 because there is 2 6's in 12 :) 6 (ac - 2)

The expression 6 a c − 12 can be factored by identifying the greatest common factor, which is 6. Once we factor out 6, we obtain 6 ( a c − 2 ) as the factored form. This process simplifies the expression and is useful for further mathematical operations.
