What does the right to petition the government mean?

It can go both ways. You can either get people to sign a petition to try to pass or law or you get them to sign it so you can abolish a certain law.

The right to petition the government allows individuals to formally request actions or changes from their government. It empowers citizens to express their concerns and influence decision-making processes. This right is fundamental in democratic societies, providing a way for people to advocate for themselves and their communities.
