There is \(\frac{1}{4}\) of a peach pie left after a family picnic. Four cousins share the leftover pie equally. What fraction of a whole pie will each cousin receive?

1/4 divided by 4, the way my teacher taught it was to do:Same Opposite Opposite 1/4 stays the same.division symbol turns into multiplication symbol.and 4 turns into 1/4 1/4 times 1/4 is 1/8.answer is 1/8. hope i could help!! (xx)

Each cousin will receive 16 1 ​ of the whole peach pie when the 4 1 ​ leftover pie is divided equally among four cousins. This is calculated by dividing 4 1 ​ by 4, which is done by multiplying by the reciprocal. Thus, the final result is 16 1 ​ .
