Hello, can anyone help me with the next four math questions, please?

1) Simplify: \(5(x + 2)\)

2) Simplify: \(4(2x + 3)\)

3) Simplify: \(8(x + 2)\)

4) Simplify: \(5(7x + 4)\)

Thank you!

Answer (3)

5(x + 2) = 5(x) + 5(2) = 5x + 10
4(2x + 3) = 4(2x) + 4(3) = 8x + 12
8(x + 2) = 8(x) + 8(2) = 8x + 16
5(7x + 4) = 5(7x) + 5(4) = 35x + 20

5 ( x + 2 ) = 5 x + 10 4 ( 2 x + 3 ) = 8 x + 12 8 ( x + 2 ) = 8 x + 16 5 ( 7 x + 4 ) = 35 x + 20

To simplify the expressions using the distributive property, we multiply the outer coefficient by each term inside the parentheses. The simplified results are: 5 x + 10 , 8 x + 12 , 8 x + 16 , and 35 x + 20 .
