There are 4 defective digital video recorders out of 50 digital video recorders. Probability that a video recorder is defective = 4/50 = 2/25 = 0.08. Therefore, probability that a video recorder is not defective = 1 - 4/50 = 46/50 = 23/25 = 0.92 I hope that my answer is helpful! Let me know if you need something more :)

The probability of randomly selecting a digital video recorder that is not defective is 0.92, which means there is a 92% chance it will be a good recorder. This was calculated by determining that there are 46 non-defective recorders out of a total of 50. Hence, P ( not defective ) = 50 46 = 0.92 .
