The only other force acting on the rock would be gravity.

The two forces acting on a rock sitting in the dirt are the normal force from the ground and the force of gravity pulling it down. The normal force prevents the rock from sinking, while gravity is determined by the rock's mass. These forces create a balance, keeping the rock at rest.
