Jose said all of the multiples of 8 are also multiples of 2. Jamila said that all of the multiples of 8 are also multiples of 4. Who is correct? Explain.

2 and 4 are both factors of 8, which means any multiple of 8 can be divided by both 2 and 4 since 8 can be. So, Jose and Jamila are both right.

Both Jose and Jamila are correct. Every multiple of 8 is also a multiple of 2 and a multiple of 4 since both 2 and 4 are factors of 8. Therefore, all multiples of 8 can be divided evenly by 2 and 4.
