Whenever the equation of a line is in that form, with the 'y' all alone on one side and everything else on the other side, the coefficient of the 'x' (7) is the slope of the line, and the bare number (+8) is the y-intercept of the line.
The slope is what ever is in front of x so the slope is 7/1 (you have to imagine the 1 under whole numbers) the y-intercept is the number without the x so it would be 8
The slope of the line y = 7 x + 8 is 7, and the y-intercept is 8. The slope indicates the rate of change in y for each unit increase in x . The y-intercept is the value of y when x is 0.
