So its like this. Newspaper says something like "Buy now! Brand-new Shoes with blah-blah foam and it's never been done before!" In short, it spread by word of mouth, and it never fails to at least give somebody something to chew on. Or, a question never been answered, like "how many cells are in an amoeba," has finally been answered. It's the top headline on the news, and everybody's talking about it. It gets people excited, so they talk to their friends and family, and it becomes a fad. Not only was this super popular, but it educates people on something that they - more than likely - didn't know ;
