The answer to the riddle is 'a river', which runs while flowing, has a mouth where it meets a larger body of water, and has a bed that supports its flow. Each part of the riddle uses metaphorical language to describe features of a river. Riddles can enhance critical thinking skills by encouraging us to think outside the box.
