Water obtained from natural resources does not show a neutral pH. What is the reason behind this?

Natural water does not usually have a neutral pH due to dissolved gases, minerals, and organic matter that affect its acidity or alkalinity. Rainwater is slightly acidic because of absorbed CO₂, while minerals like calcium carbonate can make water more alkaline. Therefore, natural water can have a pH range from about 6 to 8.
