An equilateral triangle and a square have the same perimeter. Each side of the square measures 6 cm. What is the length of each side of the triangle?

The square has 4 sides so 4*6cm= 24cm. So we now need to determine the sides of the triangle. We do this by taking 24cm and dividing it by 3 to find the lengths of the sides because the triangle is equilateral they will all be equal. 24/3=8. So each side of the triangle is 8cm.

The perimeter of the square is 24 cm, so the equilateral triangle, having the same perimeter, also measures 24 cm. Each side of the triangle is calculated to be 8 cm. Thus, each side of the triangle is 8 cm long.
