The are two ways of how you can tell which fraction is bigger than the other.

You can convert the fraction into a decimal. For example, 1/3 = 1รท3=0.3333.. 1/4 = 1รท4=0.25 The fraction are between 0 and 1/2. It can be seen that 1/3 > 1/4.

Making the to have the same denominator. For example, 1/3 and 1/4 The lcm of 3 and 4 is 12. So, we can make the 2 fractions to have the same denominater which is 12. 1/3 = 4/12 1/4 = 3/12 Since the dinominator is the same, we can compare the fraction by considering the numerator. 4 > 3, so, 1/3 > 1/4

Example- 1/3 or 1/5, which is larger? If you divide 1 by 3 the answer is 0.33 If you divide 1 by 5 it's 0.2. Since 0.33(1/3) is larger that would be the answer. sorry if I make this confusing. basically divide the top by the bottom to see which is larger. Then compare the fractions.

To determine which fraction is greater between two fractions below 2 1 โ€‹ , you can convert them to decimals or find a common denominator. By comparing either the decimal values or the numerators of the converted fractions, you can easily tell which one is larger.
