Paramecium: This large single-celled protist contains many, many short little "hair-like" structures called cillia, that cover the entire cell. The cillia move like little oars that help the paramecium swim and gather food into it's "food grove". The paramecium appears a light pink in color. Is known as a Ciliate.
They beat rhythmically to propel the organism. ;
Ciliates are single-celled organisms that move using tiny hair-like structures called cilia. These cilia beat in a coordinated fashion, allowing ciliates to swim and help gather food. Notable examples include Paramecium and Stentor, which showcase how ciliary movement functions in different environments.
