How does photosynthesis affect carnivores?

Asked by DerickKlish

Answer (2)

This happens through the food chain. Herbivores eat the plants and carnivores eat the herbivores. If plants did not use photosynthesis, they would die from lack of energy and the other organisms would suffer as well.

Photosynthesis is crucial for carnivores because it provides the energy stored in plants, which serve as food for herbivores, the primary dietary source for carnivores. This process underlies the entire food chain, linking plant energy to carnivorous organisms. Without photosynthesis, ecosystems would collapse as there would be no energy sources for higher trophic levels.
