I couldn't sleep, laying in my bed, My eyes were so weary, they were red. I began to hear voices in my head, "You won't be able to sleep!" they said. I asked them what they wanted, The said, "We want our stomachs to be fed!"
My mind is playing tricks on me you see, My head feels swollen, as if it were stung by a bee. All I want is just to be free, Of the voices in my head asking for tea. I wish they would listen to me, And I do hope that those voices would agree.
I wondered if I went away to a ship, Would a single word come from a single lip? What thoughts from my head would slip? What inspiration to equip? Why do I feel like I want to skip?
I have witnessed a lot with my eyes, Beautiful sunsets and colorful skies. If they provided wisdom, I would be wise, Even the weakest one tries To be the best. And so from the ashes he will rise.
