When and where did the Renaissance take place?

Took place in the 14th and 15th century and was in most European countries. Actually started in France though. You see the word renneaisance (or however it is spelled) means rebirth or renewal in the French language. New things were created such as mathematics, new technology, I believe the Gutenberg printing press was as well, which is one I the most important inventions to man kind. The Renaissance began in Italy during the 14th and 1th centuries. The name, Renaissance, means enlightenment, and it was a time when science, math, and the arts took leaps and bounds.
